RAWALPINDI – Director General of Inter-Services Public Relations (DG ISPR) Lt Gen Ahmad Sharif shared update on latest Indian strikes in multiple areas of Pakistan.

in his mid-night press conference, ISPR chief confirmed that Indian attacks resulted in the deaths of eight Pakistanis, with 35 others injured and two still missing. These strikes, which targeted civilian areas and religious structures, have caused widespread destruction.

In Bahawalpur’s Ahmedpur East, four missile strikes hit Subhan mosque, killing five innocent Pakistanis, including a three-year-old girl. Additionally, 31 civilians were injured, including 25 men and six women. The mosque and four nearby residential quarters were completely destroyed.

In Muzaffarabad, seven missile impacts targeted Bilal mosque, injuring one girl and demolishing the mosque. Similarly, in Kotli, five strikes hit the Abbat mosque, resulting in the deaths of a 16-year-old girl and an 18-year-old boy. A woman and her daughter were also injured.

 Umalkura mosque in Muridke was hit by four missile strikes, leaving one man dead, another injured, and two people missing. The attack also caused damage to the mosque and significant economic losses for local potters.

In Sialkot’s Kotki Lohara village, two strikes were reported, one of which misfired, and the other landed in an open field, causing no damage. In Shakargarh, two strikes caused minor damage to a dispensary but no significant casualties.

DG Chaudhry condemned the attacks, calling them “unprovoked” and “cowardly.” He assured that Pakistan would retaliate against these acts of aggression. “We are already giving a befitting response and will continue to do so,” he affirmed, signaling a continued military response to India’s actions.

Pakistan also responded with a missile barrage aimed at neutralizing military infrastructure within India. Pakistan airspace closed: In response to the airstrikes and to protect civilian safety, Pakistan closed its airspace, grounding flights across the country. During the briefing, DG ISPR emphasized that the attacks on Pakistani soil had resulted in damage and casualties, but assured the nation that Pakistan’s military was taking swift and decisive action in defense of the country’s sovereignty.

He also warned of further escalation if India continued its aggressive actions. “This aggression will not go unanswered,” DG ISPR said. “Pakistan reserves the right to defend its territorial integrity and will act accordingly.” The Pakistani government has called for an emergency meeting of the National Security Council to discuss further actions and potential diplomatic responses. International calls for de-escalation and restraint have been made, with global powers urging both sides to return to dialogue before the situation escalates further. As the situation remains fluid, the Pakistani military continues to maintain a high level of readiness while monitoring developments along the border.
